PFPE Competent Inspector Training
The PFPE Competent Inspector Training course is designed for individuals responsible for conducting thorough examinations of Personal Fall Protection Equipment (PFPE). This training is ideal for store personnel, site supervisors, and rope access operatives, ensuring compliance with Working at Height and Lifting Operations regulations. Participants will gain knowledge in equipment marking, statutory inspection processes, and record-keeping procedures. The course includes theoretical sessions covering relevant legislation, fall protection systems, and the equipment management process. The practical component involves hands-on examinations, testing inspection methods, and periodic inspections. Successful candidates will earn certification as a competent person, qualified to carry out PFPE inspections.

This course has been designed for inspectors of personal fall protection equipment. It is aimed at providing you with information and techniques to enable you to:
- Undertake pre-use checks, interim inspections, and thorough examinations
- Identify damage and defects that would require the item to be taken out of service
- Produce a management system and specify an examination scheme
- Produce written examination reports and specify any actions required
